Dead Legacy Spring 2012 Collection

Back in 2010 we were approached to stock a new independent t-shirt brand – Dead Legacy. We loved the prints, the quality and price and knew straight away we were on to a winner. Fast forward to 2012 and the boys @Dead Legacy are truely rocking it. The brand is now stocked in some of the coolest & exclusive stores in the land (Including Room 14 of course…..) and the tee’s have found their way on to some of the Premier Leagues finest and some band named One Direction??……..

Yes folks lets re-wind to 2005 and Room 14 Menswear opened its doors for the very first time. Some said we were mad but we are still here going strong.

Here at Room 14 the graphic t-shirt trend has become a massive favourite with our punters. This season we’re delighted to introduce Sin Star to our ranks as the latest t-shirt brand making big waves with multiples and independents alike.

Sin Star was born back in 2009 by two friends Rob and Sam when they were touring Europe with their band and trying to make ends meet. Fast forward to 2012 the boys have been featured in some of fashions best trade press and looking to take the brand to the international market, watch this space! Barnardo’s Fashion Event @ Venus Manchester

Wow, what a success the Barnardo’s Fashion Event held at Venus Nightclub, Manchester was, with over £1,000 raised for this great charity. The girls and guys strutted their stuff on the catwalk showcasing the latest spring ’12 collections from our store and Chorlton based Sugarhill Ladies Boutique. We are pleased to finally bring you some pics from the event.

If you have ever been lucky enough to grace Italy’s shores you will no doubt be familiar with Superga footwear as the super chic Italians have been wearing this classic tennis style shoe for years.

The sun has finally come out to play over recent days and its that time of year when we all like to freshen up our wardrobes with a few new purchases. With so much new product in the shops at the moment its hard to know what to buy and what not to buy. At Room 14 we are a huge fan of the “capsule wardrobe” and have noted below a few key pieces / trends that will see you through the coming spring months and keep you looking the part without breaking the bank!

The Chino

Fashion bloggers will be first to admit that they all thought the chino was a fad for a couple of seasons -oh how wrong they were! This great alternative to denim is now worn by men of all ages and when talking of colour anything goes. You can opt to stick with the classic Farah Straight Leg Albany Chino or if you are feeling a bit more adventurous why not choose a pair of MQT chinos that come in a range of colours including aubergine!

Pastel Colours

It’s well documented that men like to play it safe in the fashion stakes with the most popular colours being black, white and grey- boring we here you all cry. Well this season pastel colours are set to be a must have in any mans wardrobe and its not just apparel, footwear brands such as TOMS and VANS will also be rocking this key trend.

Every man owns one and it is set to be the staple in 99% of mens wardrobes this spring. Whether you like to play it classic with varsity style prints from Superdry or something a bit more rock and roll by Religion this is the best way of updating your look without it costing an arm and leg.

Barnardos Fashion Show – Wednesday 14th March 2012

Room 14 is delighted to support the Venus Manchester Fashion Show in aid of Barnardos. The show takes place on Wednesday 14th March from 7pm at Venus, Manchester. Tickets are available in-store priced at just £8. We will be showcasing our SS12 collections on the catwalk together with ladies fashions from Sugarhill Boutique in Chorlton.

So come on guys show your support to this worthwhile charity.

Spotted: Tinchy Stryder wearing Cuckoos Nest

This Cuckoos Nest “Yeezy” print just keeps cropping up time and time again. This time it was British recording artist Tinchy Stryer who was sporting the Yeezy sweatshirt whilst giving his football predictions on BBC’s Football Focus.

We are not sure about your football predictions Tinchy but your taste in fashion is bob on!
